Get To Know One of The Founders!

Hello everyone!

My name is Rocio, and if you’d like, call me Rosy. I am one of the founders of Pre-Med Ahead and I wanted to introduce myself to all of our viewers.

I am a college sophomore at Florida State University and consider myself a pre-med student. My major is Clinical Professions, and my aspirations are to go to medical school and become a physician. So far, obstetrics/gynecology and anesthesia are my favorite fields.

I currently have a CNA (certified nursing assistant) license and have both clinical and non-clinical volunteer experience. I also am a research assistant in a project about global health and the impact of diarrheal illnesses on rural communities. In addition, I am an active member of the Pre-Health honor society, AED (Alpha Epsilon Delta), and part of Public Health Brigade’s education committee.

My vision for this organization is to provide a guide for other pre-med college students who feel stuck or need some guidance. I hope that by sharing my knowledge and experiences, I can provide some direction in your healthcare professional journey. Overall, I’d like to create a community where like-minded individuals can share ideas, struggles, and motivation to keep going and achieve our goals.

I would love to hear any ideas or recommendations for future blog content and I encourage you guys to subscribe to our mailing list and become members of Pre-Med Ahead. This way we can get to know each other, have forum discussions, and build a community. We also have our Instagram page @premedahead if you guys would like to follow us.

I hope to hear from you all!
